1.            Trailblaze - an impressive opening with dynamics well sorted. Well controlled, well shaped with a fine sense of direction is well in evidence. Dynamics are well controlled as is the case at ‘E’ - all detail is well in evidence. ‘H’ - a little more maestoso style here please. 6/4 well handled and ending is fine.

2.         Lazy Days of Summer - Opening well controlled but it is only marked ‘mp’ - please observe. ‘A’ Pleasing flugel and trombone plays with appropriate style - with well balanced vibraphone well in evidence, very relaxily indeed! Bass chords also well balanced. Lovely flugel at ‘F’ - very sweet sound and accomps well balanced. Very effective performance.

3.            Finnigin’s Fancy - a tentative opening few bars but improves at ‘A’ and onwards. All tunes are played with a fine sense of rhythm and is well controlled by ensemble. Sense of rhythm is well in evidence throughout thanks MD. ‘H’ - neatly handled by all! ‘I’ very pleasant and delicately handled at the end.

4.            Nightingale Sang in Berkeley Square - Trombone Solo - Lovely opening by ensemble with plenty of con moto - thanks. ‘A’ - lovely sound with a fine sense of artistry -

Accomps well balanced! ‘B’ - again played in beautiful relaxed style. ‘C’ - appropriate rubato applied by Soloist and Accomps. An overall commendable performance by Soloist, band and thanks MD.

5.         Clash of the Titans - impressive opening - well balanced and well controlled to ‘C’ - dolce style well in evidence. Music grows and a sense of atmosphere is achieved by band.

Impressed with the balance, detail and overall clarity. ‘G’ neatly handled. ‘H’ - well controlled with fine rhythmic pulses from Percussion throughout the piece of music.

‘L’ - Lovely Flugel - well shaped. Euph/Horn carry on the good work. ‘M’ - lovely sounds heard here! ‘N’ - tight ensemble is evident and band plays to achieve a very fine ending.

An overall really well balanced programme, communicated with great effect and musically played by band, - thanks MD - fine arrangements. Thanks. Good Luck.
